Tuesday Time Saving Tip - be prepared for illness

One thing I learned this week? Be prepared for the next time your family is sick. What do you have on hand? What do you need? In my house it's things like a working thermometer, pain/fever medication, electrolite drinks, high starch foods, basic first aid items. Hopefully you never have to use them, but just in case you do, it's far better to have them at home than to worry about how to get them when you or your little ones are sick.

Tuesday Time Saving Tip - What is really important?

Hello all. It's AngelaSpots with another Tuesday time saving tip. The holidays are upon us. Forget the little things that don't really matter anyway. Focus on the things that are most important to you. Is it peace? family? faith? friendship? hope?

Tuesday Time Saving Tip - set goals

It's AngelaSpots with another tuesday time saving tip. If you need to get something done, set yourself a goal, stick to it and reward yourself when you meet your goal. Everyone needs to pat themselves on the back every once in awhile.

So what's your next goal? Mine is to get this house cleaned before the kids are asleep so I can get to bed early myself.

Tuesday Time Saving Tips - 'Tis the season for giving

Know someone who's down on their luck? What can you do to help? A hot meal, resume or interview help, a ride, a few minutes of your time? Is the person uncomfortable accepting charity? Why not trade for one of their talents. Could they clean, child mind or dog walk in exchange?

Too often we find ourselves too busy to help. Take the time today, even if it's just one thing, for one person or organization. Every little bit counts.

Echo Endever has an entire shop where all "proceeds are donated to "echo": Endeavor to Contribute to the Health of Others, a non-profit charity that helps cover costs associated with breast cancer care." Stop by today.

Tuesday Time Saving Tip - Good idea!

It's AngelaSpots here again. While browsing through Etsy keyword "BusyMomsTeam" I found these two things which are perfect for busy Moms. If you find another can't live without item please suggest it!

The first is a Holiday Shopping Notebook by tricia16 . If you're like me and have a bunch of people to buy for you probably have trouble remembering what you bought for who and where you have it hidden. What a great idea this notebook is to keep us a little more organized.

The second is this mei tai by BabyToGo. Babywearing is a must for a busy Mom, especially one with older children who are on the go. Mei tais are SO much more comfortable than the commercially avaliable ones (like Snugglies) and can be used longer, BabyToGo says her carrier is good to 15 kilos (or 33 lbs). My toddler loves riding piggyback style. I couldn't live without mine.

Tuesday Time Saving Tip - Stash it in your shower

by Huggermugger

It's AngelaSpots with another tuesday time saving tip. I recently visited a friends house during a formal function. Using the washroom I noticed one of her kids had pulled the shower curtain back slightly and something was inside. Being nosey (she is a good friend) I peaked in. She had all kinds of stuff stashed inside. Why didn't I think of that? Now I'm off to buy a fabric shower curtain so I can quickly stash unsightly items in my shower when guests are expected.

Tuesday Time Saving Tips - Fundraisers

Birthday Pizza Card by AJKArtistry

It's AngelaSpots with another Tuesday Time Saving Tip.

Is your family inundated with fundraisers like mine is?

If you don't enjoy fundraisers, or don't have the time for them but still want to help politely decline and write the organization a $10 or $20 cheque. So many fundraisers bring in such a small % you would have to sell a large quantity of items to make the same amount of money. The organization will still make the money it needs and you'll save your energy for bigger and better things.

Tuesday Time Saving Tip - clean your purse

Hello it's AngelaSpots with another Tuesday Time Saving Tip. This weeks tip is "clean your purse and wallet". If you're a busy Mom like me your purse and wallet get neglected and accumulate more and more junk you don't need to carry with you everyday. This week I watched a co-worker take 10 minutes digging through her purse to find a business card she didn't even have. If her purse was less of a mess the whole process would have taken less than 2 minutes. Take 10 minutes, right now, and clean that purse and wallet.

Tuesday Time Saving Tip - Three box method

Hello it's AngelaSpots with another Tuesday time saving tip. Have you ever heard of the three box method? When cleaning use three boxes. One labelled sell, one to donate and one to discard. Be ruthless and declutter your life. You'll thank me for it.

Tuesday Time Saving Tip - laundry basket round up

Hello it's AngelaSpots with another Tuesday time saving tip. What do you use laundry baskets for in your house? Here's another great idea. A toy and clutter round up. Take an (empty) laundry basket, toss in everything which doesn't belong in that room, then redistribute to the appropriate areas of the house. It'll only take a few minutes. What an easy way to keep your house clutter free.

Tuesday Time Saving Tip - Buy more than one

Hello, it's AngelaSpots with another Tuesday Time Saving Tip. Here, in Ontario Canada, we are gearing up for back to school, which happens in early September. Or in my family's case we are gearing up for school as my oldest will be attending for the first time.

Asking experienced Moms they all told me to buy more than one of anything that will be lost. Some say their children are always loosing lunch containers. One said each fall buys 6 pairs of mittens for each child so she doesn't have to hunt down a new pair after all the stores have sold out. Which brings up another time saving tip. Label everything well! Maybe it will find its way home after all. Hopefully?

Todays time saving tips is buy more than one, and with these adorable Etsy finds how can you not?

Tuesday Time Saving Tip - ask for help

It's AngelaSpots with another Tuesday time saving tip. My tip of the week is.

"Ask for help."

This is a lesson I learned the hard way. I'm one of those people that spreads myself too thin until I eventually explode. I exploded this past week and poor DH took the brute of it. I finally did something which I should have done ages ago. I asked him to help around the house more. Then today I was at my brick and mortar job (as a cytogenetic technologist) and what happened? I spread myself too thin, but this time I accepted someones offer to help and felt much better.

It's too easy to get overwhelmed by all the things we busy Moms have on the go. It's okay to ask for help.

Tueday's Time Saving Tip - starting a project

Hello it's AngelaSpots with another tuesday time saving tip. This weeks tip is.

"Assemble everything you need before you start the project".

I don't know about you but I'm a busy Mom who has difficulty finding time to start a project. Sometimes starting the project is more difficult than actually doing it. There's nothing worse than getting halfway through a project and realizing I'm missing something. Right now DH is out running for a supply he forgot to get before he started his. It's a huge waste of time. So make sure you have everything you need before you begin.

Tuesday Time Saving Tip - break it down

Hello it's AngelaSpots with another time saving tip. It's easy to get over whelmed when you have a large task or project. You can do it, just break it down into small chuncks. When I was in university someone told you actually learn more when you study in 5-10 minute chunks because your brain is fresh and not overwhelmed. The same rule can apply to anything in life. Cleaning, cooking, creative projects, even writing blog posts (like this one).
You can do it, you do have time, just work on it a little here and there when you have time and you'll be finished before you realize it.

Tuesday Time Saving Tip - Use what you have

Sorry about last week. We (AngelaSpots and family) took the kids camping and I didn't get my post done in advance.

This weeks time saving tip is use what you have. I don't know about you but when I need something is to run right out and pick it up from the store. Moving out to a rural area means a trip to a store takes forever and they all close early. I have to use what I have. Today the dogs collar broke, so I looked through her stuff and found a Christmas one what will work for now. Last week I needed foot cream, tried my lanolin back from BFing days and it worked amazingly! Be creative and you'll be able to find a solution for each of your little problems. Feel free to share them in the comments of this post.

So when you use what you have for now you can sit down and surf Etsy under "busymomsteam" to find the perfect replacement.

Tuesday Time Saving Tips - ad mail

It's AngelaSpots here with another tuesday time saving tip.

Unsubscribe from all that ad mail and those mailing lists you never read. I didn’t realize how much time they took up until I lost my internet for a month. Those messages pile up fast and even though each one only takes up a minute or two of your time, add up all those minutes and you’ll have time for that little project you’ve never had a chance to finish.
